The Galena Territory Association has instituted a policy to regulate the appointment and composition of standing committees. This policy only applies to committees created by the association bylaws (Budget and Audit, Long Range Planning, Legal and bylaws/Arbitration, Architectural Review and Nominations). These rules do not apply to amenity committees (Greenspace or Lake Management and Ecology). Any property owner can be a member of an amenity committee by attending meetings. Likewise, the policy does not apply to ad hoc committees, such as the Education and Taxation, Social, Civic Affairs, created by the Board. Application forms for standing committee membership will be forwarded to the appropriate committee chairs who consider appointment requests. Standing Committees are limited to nine members including no more than two board members. Committees should reflect a makeup of one-half permanent residents and one-half non-resident property owners. Attendance will be taken at meetings and too many unexcused absences may result in failure to be considered for reappointment. In order to participate in amenity or ad hoc open committees, simply attend the next regularly scheduled meeting of that committee. All fields on this form are required.
